Rockwood Engineering is an independent power system engineering firm built on a simple idea: that contractors, consulting teams, and industrial operations deserve senior-level protection and controls expertise — without the overhead and distance of a large firm.
We're a two-person team of licensed professional engineers, providing design, protection and control, system studies, power quality analysis, and commissioning across high-power distribution systems from 208 V to 44 kV. We work with clients across Canada, and on select projects into the United States, bringing focused, hands-on engineering to work of medium to high complexity.
Our purpose is straightforward: to make safe, reliable, and practical power systems happen — and to be the kind of engineering partner our clients want to work with again.

While we support projects across the full spectrum of electrical power systems engineering, we're often asked to assist when projects encounter technical challenges requiring deeper power systems expertise. Whether it's a difficult utility interconnection, a complex protection and control issue, an unexpected field condition, or a commissioning problem that needs to be solved quickly, we integrate seamlessly with the existing project team and help restore momentum.
