Founder & Principal Engineer
Matt founded Rockwood Engineering with a vision of creating an engineering firm that combines technical excellence with practical, client-focused solutions. With over 20 years of experience in electrical power systems, he has led projects spanning industrial distribution systems, utility interconnections, protection & control, SCADA integration, commissioning, and the implementation of battery energy storage, cogeneration, renewable energy, and EV charging infrastructure.
Known for his ability to simplify complex technical challenges, Matt enjoys working alongside owners, contractors, utilities, and consulting teams to solve problems and keep projects moving. Whether developing a new electrical system, troubleshooting an unexpected field condition, or guiding a project through commissioning, his focus remains the same: delivering engineering that is technically sound, practical to implement, and built for long-term reliability.
